Investors have been largely bullish on the healthcare sector to generate secular returns amidst the overall turbulent macro landscape. While healthcare has always figured prominently on the radar of investors, the pandemic acted as a catalyst for the digital health and diagnostics segment. In the post-pandemic period, the focus has circled back to the mainstream healthcare in the APAC region given that many countries still have a huge unmet demand for quality and affordable services. Beyond large hospital chains, several niches such as single-specialty chains have emerged as attractive bets for private capital investors.
