Even as SE Asia has emerged as one of the most appealing regions for investment opportunities, it remains an opaque market. On the performance front, SE Asia has demonstrated impressive, resilient economic growth, but returns have been mediocre.
Private equity allocation to this part of the world has obviously been disrupted by the somber macro backdrop of rising interest rates and the reality of slow distributions.
