A recent report in Bloomberg Intelligence pegged investments in sustainability funds at $53 trillion by 2025 – a 40% increase from the $37.8 trillion in 2021.
While only 11% of survey respondents in Bain & Co’s Global M&A Report for 2022 indicated that they assess ESG elements on a regular basis today, 65% of them expect their company’s focus on ESG to increase.
It is clear that sustainability is no longer at the fringes of discussions on investment, but is rapidly occupying the centre.
