Global Limited Partners (LPs) are reviewing their allocations to Asia amid slower private equity activity and mixed returns. Investors are consolidating capital into larger regional funds and selectively adding country-specific funds focused on Japan, India, and Australia. Fundraising challenges and regulatory complexity are noted, especially in India. The next 12 months are identified as critical for India, with several IPOs expected, while exit activity in Japan over the next 12 to 24 months is anticipated to be driven by earlier investments. Additionally, the year ahead will be important in determining whether investments in China will increase. LPs continue to emphasise diversification, risk management, and partnerships with experienced local General Partners as they monitor these developments.
