Based in Singapore, Vijay brings over 25 years of global experience. At CBC Group, he advises on sourcing and execution of investment opportunities as well as portfolio management, leading Southeast Asia regional coverage for the firm, together with providing a global origination focus for CBC’s royalty & credit strategy RBF funds. Vijay was previously an Operating Partner at CBC, during which he served as Executive Director and CEO of AffaMed Therapeutics. He currently serves as a Director of CBC portfolio companies Dawn Medical Technologies, AffaMed Therapeutics, and Motiva China, and is also an Independent Director of Mega Lifesciences PCL and OneSource Specialty Pharma Ltd.

Vijay joined CBC from Nomura International in Hong Kong, where he served as Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Investment Banking for the Asia (ex-Japan) region. Prior to Nomura, he held several senior investment banking roles with CIMB, RBS, and ABN AMRO. Throughout his career he has been involved in a wide variety of advisory and financing transactions in the healthcare sector representing over $95 billion in transaction value, gaining extensive global experience across postings in London, Chicago, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore.

A native of the Netherlands, Vijay was educated at the University of Southampton, UK, and the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, holds a M.Sc. in Economics, and is also a CFA charter holder
