Shih Guan is currently a Managing Director in DBS Bank, heading Digital Economy Group which provides DBS services and connectivity to innovative new economy companies regionally. Previously he was in DBS Corporate Development which supports all DBS’ businesses and countries on their inorganic expansion
activities, including strategic acquisitions / divestments, joint ventures and partnerships.

Prior to DBS, Shih Guan spent over 12 years in investment banking. He is an experienced and versatile finance professional with years of experience across sell-side (investment banking), buy-side (corporate development) and financial regulation and policy, with deep understanding of banks, insurers, asset
managers, brokerages and fintechs. He has successfully led large cross functional/border teams to
close numerous high profile, complex and ground breaking transactions. Outside his specialty in financial institutions, Shih Guan has also worked on transactions in power and utilities, transport and logistics, real estate and consumer sectors during his days in investment banking, and has had short-term assignments in London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Cameroon
