Shailendra Singh is a Managing Director at Peak XV, a leading venture capital firm in India and Southeast Asia, that has over $9 billion of assets under management. He joined the firm in 2006 and leads its operations globally.
Peak XV (formerly Sequoia India & Southeast Asia) has partnered with over 400 companies in the technology, software, financial services and consumer space. The portfolio has seen 23 IPOs and multiple successful M&As, resulting in $4.8 billion in realised exits so far.
Shailendra has led investments in several companies including Pine Labs, CRED, Druva, Carousell, Gojek, Tokopedia and Unacademy. Shailendra has been the driving force behind numerous initiatives and programs aimed at enabling startups across all stages of their journey from seed funding to IPO readiness. Notably Shailendra was responsible for launching Surge, Peak XV’s early stage rapid scale-up program, and the investing business in Southeast Asia
Shailendra was included in the Forbes Midas List from 2018 to 2020. He has received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School (HBS) and currently serves on the HBS Board of Dean’s Advisors as well as the Board of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF).
He holds an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from IIT Bombay, and is
also a Kauffman Fellow.
