Sandeep is an Operating Partner at Peak XV, based in Singapore. Since joining the firm in 2016, he has worked closely with founders and leadership teams to support the growth and scaling of portfolio companies, and today serves on multiple boards as a Nominee Director. Previously, he led the firm’s Portfolio Finance function, working closely with founders on strategy, capital allocation, and using finance as a lever to shape and strengthen businesses. He also played a significant role in several successful exits. With his operating and financial expertise, Sandeep partners with companies on every stage of building and scaling. He focuses on accelerating growth, refining strategy, and strengthening execution, working alongside founders and operators as an extension of their teams. Before joining Peak XV, Sandeep was Chief Risk Officer at Max Life Insurance, becoming the first non-appointed actuary to hold this position in the Indian life insurance industry. Earlier, he was also part of the founding team of an insurance company launched in 2001 that has since grown to more than $2 billion in revenue. Earlier in his career, he played a key role at SBI Cards, leading the planning and strategy team and helped lay the foundation for what is now a multi-billion-dollar listed company.
