Rachmat Kaimuddin

Rachmat Kaimuddin was appointed as deputy minister of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment in August 2022. He is responsible for coordinating and synchronizing the formulation and determination, as well as controlling the implementation of the ministry’s policies related to infrastructure and transportation. Rachmat, a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology Stanford University, was named technology and sustainability development special advisor in the ministry in January 2022. Prior to his role at the ministry, he was the CEO of Bukalapak where he led the e-commerce major to a successful IPO on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in August 2021. Before Bukalapak, he has held several leadership roles in a number of private equity firms and banking institutions, including Quvat Management and Bank Bukopin.
