Minjun Liang is a founding partner of ATM Capital and has been involved in
investments including TOMORO COFFEE (Indonesia’s emerging coffee chain
brand), MAKUKU (Southeast Asia’s leading mother and baby brand), Kargo
(Indonesian version of Full Truck Alliance, A local leading logistics aggregation
platform), Lifepal (Indonesia’s leading Insurtech platform), Fastock (Southeast
Asia’s leading E-Commerce warehouse provider, acquired by J&T Express),
and Kitabisa (Indonesia’s largest online donation and fundraising platform).
Minjun Liang has developed an in-depth understanding of Fintech and the
Southeast Asia markets. During his 10-year tenure at Alipay, Minjun Liang was
previously the Vice President of Alipay Overseas Team. He was responsible for
the business development of cross-border expansion and mobile payment
projects. He contributed significant strategic decisions and implementations.
Minjun Liang also established overseas offices of Alipay in HK, Taiwan,
Singapore, Seoul and Silicon Valley and started the Group’s first overseas
investment.
In addition, Minjun Liang was appointed as Deputy General Manager of Ali
Travel, General Manager of Business Development Department of Mobile
Payment, as well as other core operational roles in Alibaba Group and Ant
Financial Services Group. He has strong insights into the mobile internet and
O2O BUs. Minjun Liang, as Alipay’s representative, co-operated with the
People’s Bank of China and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange on
several projects to discuss and compile the regulations on 3rd party’s
payment platform, from which he has gained practical insights into policy
development of the mobile payment industry.
Minjun Liang has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from the College of
Engineering Machinery, China Agricultural University; a Master Degree in
International Economics from the China Center for Economic Research at
Peking University (later renamed the National Development Research
Institute) and an EMBA degree from China Europe International Business
School (CEIBS)
