Kiran is an AI-researcher turned VC. He joined UTEC in 2018 as the first international member of the team and currently oversees UTEC’s Global AI/ML portfolio and leads UTEC’s investments in Emerging Asia.

Kiran has led investments in 13 companies across Japan, India, Singapore, USA, and Africa. Prior to joining UTEC, he worked at Deloitte Tohmatsu Venture Support (DTVS) in Japan and co-founded a student-led social enterprise named ‘Kriya’. Kiran is an alumnus of The University of Tokyo and was recognized in the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 list in 2020.
