Kean is a Senior Investment Officer at responsAbility, a leading global impact asset manager with $5bn in AuM specialising in emerging market investments. He is primarily responsible for leading responsAbility’s client coverage in the FI debt sector group for several key APAC markets, including China, Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan and Timor Leste.
Prior to joining responsAbility, Kean was an Investment Specialist at the ADB Ventures, the venture arm of the Asian Development Bank, where he focused on early-to-growth stage impact tech investments across APAC with key focus on sectors such as Climatetech, Agritech, Fintech and Healthtech. Before ADB, Kean worked for a Hong-Kong based special situations fund, where he led the investment into Primech (NASDAQ:PMEC) and supported business development from a board role. Prior to finance, Kean cut his professional teeth in law. He is a qualified barrister, called to the bar at the Middle Temple, London. Kean graduated with an MPhil and MBA from the University of Cambridge.
