Joji is the founder and editor-in-chief at DealStreetAsia. He is a 24×7 information enthusiast, currently based in Singapore, and leads a pan-Asia team. In 2019, Japan’s Nikkei Group, which also owns the Financial Times (FT), acquired DealStreetAsia, but the publication continues to operate independently under Joji’s leadership. Over the last decade, DealStreetAsia has become the largest deal news and intelligence platform in South Asia. The publication also had a significant presence in India & China over the last 7 years, with dedicated team members on the ground, in these regions.

Prior to DealStreetAsia, he was among the most prolific journalists in India, and chronicled the communications/telecoms segment, breaking some of the biggest stories in these sectors, during his tenure at The Economic Times, and Business Standard. Joji has won the Business Standard-Seema Nazareth Award for Excellence in Journalism in March 2006. He is a twitterholic and a soccer fan who is only off the internet when motorcycling in the Himalayas.
