Mr. Tian is the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager for Flow Capital’s credit
strategies, where he leads all aspects of origination, underwriting, portfolio construction and
risk management. Prior to joining Flow Capital in 2025, Mr. Tian served as Senior Vice President at Oaktree Capital Management, where he was a founding member of the Asia investment team within the firm’s Global Opportunities strategy. Over his eight-year tenure, he specialized in private and public credit investments, special situations, and distressed opportunities across multiple sectors and jurisdictions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Tian worked at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division, advising clients in the Technology, Media, Telecommunications, and Consumer Retail sectors on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and strategic advisory assignments.
Mr. Tian holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Laws from the University of Hong Kong. He is a CFA charterholder.
