Ed Baker

Ed Barker is a Principal at Square Peg, a leading global venture capital firm, where he leads and supports investments in companies like Pluang, StashAway, LottieFiles and Kula. In 2020, Ed moved to Singapore to set up Square Peg’s Southeast Asia office. Ed came to Square Peg from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he worked in various roles across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the United States, and was a core member of the Private Equity practice. Ed grew up in the UK surrounded by computers – building, upgrading and occasionally breaking them. He started his career doing everything from problem-solving BSoDs (blue screen of death) to racking and stacking servers. Ed holds a commerce degree from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
