Mr. Alex Ying is the Managing Director and Head of Private Equity Investments at CDIB Capital International, with over 25 years of experience in private equity investments in Greater China and Southeast Asia. Before joining CDIB, he founded and led Rivendell Partners, focusing on mid-market buyout investments in Greater China. Prior to that, Mr. Ying spent 20 years at The Carlyle Group, where he served as Managing Director in Asia, leading and participating in numerous regional buyout deals. His career began at Colony Capital and as an investment banker at CIBC Oppenheimer in Los Angeles. Mr. Ying holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from USC, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.
