Airlangga Hartarto has been Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs since President Joko Widodo’s second term began on October 23, 2019. Previously, he was the Minister of Industry (2016-2019) and co-chaired Indonesia’s COVID-19 mitigation task force. He is also the General Chairman of the Golkar Party since 2017. Hartarto holds a mechanical engineering degree from Gadjah Mada University, an MBA from Monash University, and a master’s in management technology from the University of Melbourne. In 2019, he received an honorary doctorate in development policy from Korea’s KDI School of Policy Management.
