Tai Lin

Tai Lin is a Managing Director for Proterra Investment Partners based in Shanghai where he oversees Proterras investments in China and South East Asia. Proterra was spun out of Black River Asset Management (a division of Cargill) and is focused on food & agri investments across Asia. At Proterra (and Black River) Lin has been investing in the food & agri resources space for over 10 years. He joined Black River from Credit Suisse First Boston, where he spent multiple years in M&A investment banking. Lin is currently helping the World Food Center of UC Davis establish the Asian Council as a Founding Member. He holds a Masters degree in Business & Finance from the Vienna University of Economics in Austria. He is a CFA Charterholder. He speaks English, German and Chinese.
