Norazli Mohamad Nor (“Azli”) joined Xeraya Capital as a member of Xeraya’s founding team in October 2012. Azli has accumulated wide sector experience in technology investment, management consulting and engineering operations. He is also the Head of Strategic Initiatives.
Previously in Khazanah Nasional’s Life Sciences Unit, Azli was a vice president assessing investment pipeline deals and monitoring Khazanah’s life sciences portfolio. While there, he was deeply involved in the preparatory aspects leading to the establishment of Xeraya Capital as well as the inception of the Mudharabah Innovation Fund.
Before Khazanah, Azli was an associate director at KPMG’s consulting practice, focusing primarily in infrastructure funding, particularly public-private partnerships and private finance initiatives. His early career had been with Tenaga Nasional and included leadership roles in both technical and management capacities.
Azli was registered as a professional engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia in 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) from Imperial College, London, United Kingdom, and an MBA with Finance specialisation from International Islamic University Malaysia.
