Mr. Shaojie Shen currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of ZYT, providing overall leadership in the company’s technology strategy, product R&D, and commercialization, dedicated to advancing intelligent driving toward a next-generation Mobility Physical AI paradigm.
Mr. Shen holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, with world-class academic and engineering expertise in mobile robotics, autonomous navigation, localization and mapping, and decision-making and planning. His scholarly contributions are widely recognized, with approximately 25,000 citations on Google Scholar, over 200 papers published in top-tier international robotics journals and conferences including IEEE T-RO, ICRA, and IROS, and multiple Best Paper Awards. In 2023, he led his team to win the IEEE T-RO Best Paper Award — the first time in the journal’s 20-year history that this honor was bestowed upon a Chinese team.
Before leading ZYT, he served as Head of the Flight Systems Division at DJI, where he spearheaded the development of core flight control systems and established himself as one of the key technical pioneers in the global small-scale UAV industry.
As CEO of ZYT, he has led the team to achieve full-scenario intelligent driving coverage for passenger vehicles, with over 50 mass-produced models, more than 130 nomination models, and the industry’s first Single-Chip Integrated Cockpit and Driving Domain solution — placing ZYT among the leaders in scaled deployment. Simultaneously, ZYT is strategically expanding into Commercial Heavy Trucks, Last-Mile Delivery, Robotaxi, and Buses and Coaches, encompassing a full spectrum of intelligent mobility scenarios. He is spearheading the large-scale deployment of Highway NOA for Commercial Heavy Trucks, with partner vehicle models scheduled for mass production in 2026.
Guided by the vision of Mobility Physical AI, ZYT is building a cross-vertical Mobile Intelligence Foundation powered by its Multimodal Foundation Model, driving the comprehensive evolution of intelligent driving from conventional functional driving toward a fully integrated physical intelligence system encompassing perception, cognition, decision-making, and control.
