Nruthya Madappa is Partner at 3one4 Capital. She has been crucial in building one of India’s most disciplined and high-performing early-stage venture capital platforms. Since joining in 2020, Nruthya has led the design and institutionalisation of 3one4 Capital. Her leadership has been instrumental in steering the firm to a portfolio of over 100 companies, multiple profitable exits, and more than $2B in follow-on capital raised across funds, contributing to an enterprise value of over $9.4B across the portfolio.
At 3one4, Nruthya also leads the firm’s Growth & Capital Development expert function, and has built one of the most consequential growth engines in Indian venture capital. She has architected a system of strategic support that sits at the core of 3one4’s operating platform, bridging founders with strategic partnerships, institutional capital, revenue expansion, M&A, exit outcomes, and systematic global scale. Nruthya’s work has helped scale some of India’s leading emerging companies including Darwinbox, Licious, ToneTag, Dhan, WeRize, Ripplr and Dozee while contributing directly to 3one4’s consistently top-quartile distributions.

Nruthya has been core to 3one4 Capital’s broader institutional growth. Today, the firm is among India’s fastest-growing venture capital franchises, having closed five funds with a combined corpus of over INR 4,300Cr (~USD 550M). The firm is backed by a highly respected global LP base that includes sovereign wealth funds, university endowments, DFIs, and family offices from India, the US, Japan, and Singapore. Nruthya has played a key role in expanding these institutional relationships and extending the firm’s global footprint.

In parallel, she has driven the development of 3one4’s Emergent platform, an institutional effort to connect India’s most Office #1, 5th Floor, 1 Sobha 50, St Marks Rd, Ashok Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560001promising innovation with global capital, strategic partners, and public policy networks. Through curated engagements across Singapore, Tokyo, Mumbai, and other geographies, Emergent is helping position Indian venture-backed innovation as a global asset class.

Prior to 3one4 Nruthya spent her career as an operator across US and India, leading high growth global teams in education, healthcare, finance, real estate, and economic policy – strengths she brings to bear for the 3one4 portfolio. Nruthya founded and led The CoWrks Foundry, investing in 25+ early-stage companies in partnership with Yale University and Columbia University. She led revenue and growth strategy at Cuemath, during a pivotal phase in India’s edtech evolution. Nruthya holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
