Winston is a Managing Director and Head of ASEAN at Affirma Capital. He currently manages a team of 5 investment professionals and is based in Singapore.
Winston is a seasoned private equity investor and investment banker with 18 years of experience. Winston first joined Affirma Capital’s predecessor firm, Standard Chartered Private Equity (SCPE) in 2015 to focus on Energy, Resources and Infrastructure investments in Southeast Asia and India.
Prior to SCPE, Winston was based in Australia and part of Deutsche Bank’s Utilities and Infrastructure Investment Banking Group, where he advised and delivered over USD 60bn of M&A, equity, debt and structured solutions.
Throughout his career, Winston has been close to the climate and sustainability space. In addition to his work experience in Australia, he was previously the Global Co-Head of ESG for Affirma Capital, where he was involved in putting in place key processes including Affirma Capitals’ ESG Policy and ESGRA checklist.
Winston has a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace) / Bachelor of Business (Business Administration) from RMIT University and is a CFA Charterholder.
Winston is Australian with Chinese-Indonesian heritage.
