Gary Hui

Gary is a Senior Vice President, Investment Solutions, and a member of the Alternatives Manager Research team with responsibility for origination, due diligence, execution and monitoring of investments across private markets sectors in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on primaries, secondaries and co-investments. He has experience in direct investment, fund investment and business development within private markets. Prior to joining Wilshire in 2020, Gary was an Executive Director at PICC Asset Management Hong Kong, leading its USD private investment business and serving as a department head and an investment committee member. Previously, Gary served as Investment Director at a leading Chinese investment firm and also gained private markets fund investment experience at a US-based FOF and an Asia-based banking institution. Gary earned Bachelor of Business Management and Bachelor of Arts degrees from The University of Queensland in Australia, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Accountancy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a CFA charter-holder.
