Paul is managing director for corporate venture capital at Digital Ventures, a subsidiary of Siam Commercial Bank.
Starting his career as an investment banker, he worked on IPOs, private equity deals and M&A at Deutsche Bank and Citigroup in Asia and New York. He also did i-banking stints at boutique firms Tonson Capital and Blackwood Ventures in Southeast Asia.
He then moved to the retail industry, where he worked with Chinas Central Retail Corporation, and subsequently moved to work with Apple and Microsoft. At Apple, he led the firms retail real estate for Asia and helped open flagship stores in China, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia. In a similar role at Microsoft, he advised the firm on its China retail strategy.
He was named one of Asia’s Top 100 Leaders in FinTech by Next Money.
